Tips for the Action House
- Pay attention to what sells well and what and does not. Figure out what is easy to get and sells for the most. You are looking for an efficient combination of time investment and profit. Other players can also make a significant difference. If you have to compete for one material type, try another.
- Pay attention to changes in the game that might effect the prices of your materials. Things can change dramatically!
- Different servers also have considerably different economies. What sells well and for a lot on one, will not necessarily work on another. Get to know your server’s economy and you will do well for yourself with gathering. If you get advice from a message board or a guide like this, confirm that the advice will work on your server.
Tools
- There are 2 primary tools that will greatly assist you in your pursuit of materials and money.
- Gatherer. This is a user interface mod for WoW. Its completely legal to use and will track on your in game map where you have found mining nodes / herb locations and chests.
- Auctioneer. This is a tool which will help you figure out how to price your goods. It keeps track of auctions bid and buyout prices. It takes some time to learn how to make this work for you, but the time you spend learning it will be of great help.
