Part one of two. Jeremy falls in love with the Ford GT, despite the fact he can barely fit in it. It's an improvement on the GT40 though, which he couldn't get in at all! The extra three inches makes all the difference! whats the music from 1:01 to 1:32?
Comment by qgan — 9 May, 2010 @ 8:14 pm
i cant wait to buy one of these in 10 years when ill have the money saved up and a 8 car garage for my race cars and this… i will drive it almost every day, i dont give a shit about high millage on cars, its actually cheaper for everyone to pull the engine out and do a light bore and resurface the heads and replace a few internals and u got basically a brand new engine all over again and its cheaper and more economical than buying a new car

@B0R1S747 as veper says – its “Here and Now” by the Ernies. It’s off Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Soundtrack

i know its a really fast car but they dont make it seem fast like they do with ferraris or lambos
Comment by johnnygold23 — 10 May, 2010 @ 1:48 am
This is one of the sickest cars on the road…
I’d so much rather have corvettes and ford gts than lamborghinis..
I love lambos but I don’t think they’re 300,000 dollars cool. Maybe just to have sit in the garage, I’d feel like an idiot driving one around in 15 mph traffic around Portland.

@EatmyDust1311
Ford 2V = SOHC
Ford 3V = SOHC
Ford 4V = DOHC
Your 5.4 3V is a SOHC engine.
@ sksakm12
Nothing is identical about the iron and aluminum blocks. Bulkhead thickness in greater in the aluminum, aluminum has siamesed bores, 6-bolt mains, no provision for a regular starter, dry sump oiling.
The GT is DOHC, Ford has never built a 4V SOHC Modular V8.
Comment by LieKiller — 10 May, 2010 @ 4:45 am
Wow, Clarkson really spewed some misinformation about the 5.4s there.
GT – aluminum block, DOHC, 32-valve, oil piston squirters, dry sump, twin screw s/c, etc
Lightning – iron block, SOHC, 16-valve, wet sump, roots s/c
Other than displacement and the architectural hard points of the Modular 5.4, the two engines couldn’t be more different.

Nice car, but if given a choice between this and the Superformance GT40, I’d take the Superformance in a heartbeat.

Can anyone tell me the name of this wonderful soundtrack at 0:28 , 1:00 and 4:54 ? It fits the video so perfectly!
An answer would be much appreciated.
Comment by TheThirdGerman — 10 May, 2010 @ 7:39 am
Top speed is faster than Carrera GT and Mclaren SLR…ford is just like a tuned car, burns fuels like leaking water pump for all those power and no where better than any Italian/German cars.
